Last Updated: 2 months ago

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) once again held an activity titled “Kurma & Onta” (Ramadan Lecture & Faith Talk) on Friday, March 6, 2026 / 16 Ramadan 1447 H. The event, which took place at the BYC Library, carried the theme “Building Social Integrity in the Month of Ramadan” and was attended by lecturers, educational staff, and students within the UNIDA community.

Representing the Dean of FISIP UNIDA, the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, Irma Purnamasari, S.Sos., M.Si, expressed her appreciation for the implementation of the event. She considered Kurma & Onta as a reflective space for the FISIP UNIDA community to strengthen the values of tawhid in academic life.

“The Kurma & Onta activity is a regular Ramadan program designed by FISIP UNIDA as a forum to strengthen silaturahmi while also serving as a space for reflective discussion,” she stated.

Irma Purnamasari added that the theme of social integrity was chosen to remind all elements of the campus that Ramadan is not only a moment for individual worship, but also a means to build character, honesty, and social responsibility.

“We hope that the spirit developed through this activity can be sustained and become a foundation in attitudes and actions, not only during Ramadan but also through consistent implementation of good values in daily life,” she said.

On this occasion, Kurma & Onta featured three FISIP UNIDA lecturers as speakers: Gotfridus Goris Seran, Drs., M.Si; Maria Fitriah, S.Sos., M.Si; and Dra. Sukarelawati, M.Si. The discussion ran interactively and was moderated by Robby Firliandoko, Amd., S.I.Kom., M.Si.

To reach a broader audience, the activity was also broadcast live via the Commap TV YouTube Channel, allowing the wider public outside the campus to follow and benefit from the discussion delivered by FISIP UNIDA academics.
