The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) community of Djuanda University (UNIDA) participated in the qurban (sacrificial offering) program on campus by contributing a cow that was slaughtered and distributed by the UNIDA Qurban Committee in collaboration with the Amaliah Indonesia Foundation for Islamic Development Studies (YPSPIAI) on Thursday (May 28, 2026).
The qurban activity, held within the UNIDA campus environment, reflected the spirit of togetherness and social responsibility upheld by the FISIP UNIDA community in commemorating Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri. This year, UNIDA and YPSPIAI collectively slaughtered 21 cows and 8 goats, which were distributed to the community through more than 2,500 qurban meat packages.
The slaughtering and distribution processes were carried out in an orderly manner by the committee before the meat was distributed to eligible recipients in Ciawi and its surrounding areas.
The Dean of FISIP UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si., stated that the participation of the FISIP UNIDA community in this qurban program reflects the faculty’s commitment to instilling the values of faith in God, social compassion, and the spirit of sharing with others.
"Alhamdulillah, the FISIP UNIDA community has once again been given the opportunity to participate in the qurban program on campus alongside the greater UNIDA family and YPSPIAI. This act of worship serves as an important reminder of the values of sincerity, social concern, and generosity toward others," she said.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si. also expressed her hope that the activity would bring broad benefits and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood both within the campus community and among local residents.
"We hope that the distributed qurban animals will bring blessings and benefits to the recipients. Furthermore, this Eid al-Adha momentum serves as part of our collective effort to strengthen Islamic outreach and build public trust in Djuanda University, including supporting the enhancement of new student enrollment," she added.
