FISIP UNIDA Launches Tridharma International Visit Batch 6 in Malaysia, Focusing on Strengthening IKU and Global Networking

Last Updated: 4 months ago

KUALA LUMPUR, January 27, 2026 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA), officially commenced the series of activities for the Tridharma International Visit & Academic (Batch 6) in Malaysia. Carrying the theme “Strengthening International Academic Networks in Malaysia,” the program takes place from January 27 to 31, 2026, featuring a comprehensive agenda that includes Academic Meetings, Visiting Lectures, Research Collaboration, Student Mobility, International Community Service, and participation in the ASEANACA International Conference (6th ICOSTELM 2026).

On the first day, the FISIP UNIDA delegation conducted a strategic visit and Academic Meeting at the MARA Food Technology Incubator (INTEM), located in the KIP Industrial Park, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. This visit marked an initial step toward the concrete implementation of cross-border collaboration.

The visit to INTEM was designed as more than a courtesy call; it represents a tangible effort to achieve Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU), particularly IKU 6 (Study Program Partnerships) and IKU 3 (Lecturers Engaged Outside Campus). Through discussions on food technology and business incubation management overseen by a Malaysian government agency (MARA), FISIP UNIDA seeks to advance the Impactful Campus Program. This initiative aims to ensure that academic outputs extend beyond the classroom and respond to industry and societal needs through collaborative, solution-oriented research.

The Dean of FISIP UNIDA, Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si, expressed her deep appreciation to the university leadership for their full support of the internationalization program.

“We would like to convey our highest gratitude to the Chancellor and the Rector of Universitas Djuanda for the trust and opportunity given to us to send a faculty delegation for the Tridharma International Visit Batch 6. The support from the leadership serves as our main source of motivation to continue advancing and bringing the institution’s good name to the global stage,” said Dr. Rita Rahmawati.

She further explained the strategic benefits of the program for the institution.

“This activity offers extensive benefits. In addition to strengthening international networks, visits to incubation centers such as INTEM broaden the perspectives of our lecturers and students regarding collaborative governance between academia and industry in neighboring countries. This is part of our effort to enhance academic quality, enrich teaching materials with international case studies, and ensure that our graduates possess global competitiveness,” she added.

Echoing this view, the Head of the Public Administration Study Program at FISIP Universitas Djuanda, Faisal Tri Ramdani, S.Sos., M.A.P, highlighted the relevance of the visit from the perspective of public governance and policy.

“The visit to INTEM is highly relevant to the development of the Public Administration Study Program. Here, we directly observe how government support through MARA is professionally managed to empower the community’s economic sector. Governance and public policy models like this provide valuable research material for future collaborative studies involving our lecturers and students,” Faisal stated.

The series of activities in Malaysia will continue with international seminars and community service programs in the coming days, reaffirming FISIP UNIDA’s commitment to realizing its vision of becoming a leading faculty with global recognition.

FISIP UNIDA is committed to delivering quality higher education grounded in the values of tauhid and oriented toward solving social problems through impactful research and community service.
