The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA), together with the Master of Public Administration Program at UNIDA Graduate School, participated in an International Conference in Malaysia on July 17, 2025. The conference, themed "Rethinking Government and Management: Strategies for the Future," discussed strategies for government and management for the future.
Dr. Rita Rahmawati, M.Si., Dean of FISIP UNIDA, stated that the participation of UNIDA’s faculty and students in this international conference aimed to broaden knowledge and enhance their role in the global educational landscape.
"We hope that through this conference, we can expand our network and improve the quality of research and teaching at UNIDA," said Dean Rita.
The Dean of GSGSG, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Rusdi Omar, stated that the conference was not just an academic exchange, but also a shared vision between institutions to build bridges between countries, engage in meaningful discussions, and create solutions for a more resilient and responsive public sector.
"It is more than just an academic exchange. It represents a shared vision between our institutions—of building bridges across borders, engaging in meaningful conversations, and co-creating solutions for a more resilient and responsive public sector," said Prof. Dr. Rusdi.
The conference is expected to serve as the starting point for a long-term collaboration between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Universitas Djuanda. It is hoped that this partnership will improve the quality of education and research at both institutions.
"We believe that collaboration like this opens doors for new research directions, joint academic initiatives, and student mobility. It is our hope that today’s program will serve as a steppingstone towards a longer-term partnership between UUM and Universitas Djuanda," he added.
Furthermore, the collaboration between UNIDA and UUM will include the creation of proceedings, book chapters, joint research, and journal reviews.
