The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a structural leadership handover ceremony from officials of the 2022–2026 period to those of the 2026–2030 period on Tuesday (March 10, 2026). The event took place in Classroom F.303 of FISIP UNIDA and was attended by lecturers and members of the faculty’s academic community.
This handover ceremony marked part of the leadership regeneration process while also serving as an effort to strengthen organizational governance within FISIP UNIDA.
In the leadership structure for the 2026–2030 period, the position of Dean of FISIP continues to be held by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si. Meanwhile, several vice dean positions have undergone changes. The position of Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, previously held by Irma Purnamasari, S.Sos., M.Si., is now assumed by Dr. Saprudin, S.Sos., M.Si. The position of Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs is entrusted to Irma Purnamasari, S.Sos., M.Si., who previously served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
In her remarks, the Dean of FISIP UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si., stated that the handover ceremony represents an important moment in the leadership process within the faculty.
“Today we carry out this handover as an important milestone in the leadership transition at FISIP. A position is not something to be pursued, but when the trust is given, we must be ready to accept it as a responsibility to continue the achievements that have been initiated previously,” she said.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita Rahmawati also shared several development targets for the faculty. According to her, in 2025 the Public Administration Study Program achieved “Excellent” accreditation, while the Communication Science Study Program received a “Very Good” accreditation.
“Our target for 2026 is to elevate the accreditation of the Communication Science Study Program to ‘Excellent.’ In addition, FISIP is planning to open a Master’s (S2) Program in Communication Science,” she explained.
She further emphasized that improvements in academic quality should be accompanied by strengthening international-level activities in order to accelerate the internationalization process within FISIP UNIDA.
“I hope that all planned programs can be implemented well. To the newly appointed officials, I extend my congratulations. May you adapt well, carry out your duties sincerely, and always be granted good health,” she added.
On the same occasion, the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs for the 2022–2026 period, Maria Fitriah, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve at FISIP UNIDA.
“I would like to thank FISIP UNIDA for being a place where I could learn and share experiences. In carrying out our duties, no one works alone. Everything is achieved through cooperation and sincere dedication. When a position is viewed as a trust and a learning process, it becomes an opportunity for us to build a better organization together. We will continue moving forward and contributing to the progress of FISIP UNIDA,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs for the 2026–2030 period, Dr. Saprudin, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his commitment to strengthening academic quality, particularly in research and community service.
“Research and community service at FISIP UNIDA must move toward international standards. Going forward, I hope we can work intelligently and collaboratively to realize the faculty’s vision and mission,” he stated.
He also expressed his gratitude for becoming part of FISIP UNIDA.
“I feel grateful to be welcomed as part of the FISIP UNIDA family. I hope that together we can bring this faculty toward greater progress,” he concluded.
Through this handover ceremony, FISIP UNIDA hopes to strengthen synergy among faculty leaders while encouraging improvements in both academic and non-academic performance in the future.
