The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) held its 2025 Halalbihalal event as a moment to strengthen ties between lecturers, educational staff, students, and the entire FISIP academic community with students' parents. The event took place in the Hall of Building C at UNIDA on April 17, 2025, under the theme "United in Friendship, Moving Together to Achieve an EXCELLENT UNIDA."
The event began with opening remarks from the Dean of FISIP UNIDA, Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si. She conveyed that parental involvement in the educational process has a positive impact on student learning motivation.
"With open communication between the faculty and parents, we can jointly guide students to stay focused and complete their studies on time," she said.
The Dean of FISIP, affectionately known as Dean Rara, also announced that two Study Programs at FISIP—Public Administration and Communication Science—will undergo the accreditation process in the near future. For this, Dean Rara requested the prayers and support of the parents so that both programs can achieve an 'EXCELLENT' rating.
The event also featured an Academic Talk Show aimed at conveying achievements and strategies for improving student performance, both academic and non-academic, at national and international levels. It also covered important administrative matters in the educational process.
In her presentation, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Irma Purnamasari, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of synergy between lecturers and students in achieving academic excellence. Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, Maria Fitriah, S.Sos., M.Si., highlighted the faculty's support for student activities that build character and graduate competitiveness.
The Heads of both Study Programs, Faisal Tri Ramdani, S.Sos., M.Si. (Public Administration), and Drs. Undang Suryatna, M.Si. (Communication Science), also presented innovations in the academic guidance system and thesis acceleration as part of the strategy to improve the quality of FISIP graduates.
The event became more meaningful with an interactive discussion session between parents and the FISIP dean's office. In this discussion, parents were given the opportunity to provide input, hopes, and questions regarding the educational process and student academic administration. The dean's office responded openly and enthusiastically, explaining the faculty's various programs.
The students' parents welcomed and appreciated the Halalbihalal event organized by FISIP UNIDA. They considered it an important platform for strengthening the bonds between students, lecturers, and parents.
One parent of a second-semester student, Kusmiati, mentioned that the event ran smoothly and left a positive impression because it successfully built an emotional connection among all parties.
"I hope this kind of friendship can continue to be nurtured long-term and become a good culture within the FISIP environment for the future," she said.
Through this activity, FISIP UNIDA affirmed its commitment to continue building a campus environment that is harmonious, productive, and based on the 21 core values of Tawhid (Islamic monotheism).
