The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a Socialization Session for the 2026 Field Study Program (Kuliah Kerja Lapangan – KKL) on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The event was organized as a preparatory briefing for students who will participate in the KKL program as part of an experiential learning process.
The socialization was attended by FISIP students who will undertake the KKL program during the 2025/2026 academic year. During the session, students received information regarding the objectives of the program, implementation mechanisms, regulations, visitation locations, and various technical preparations required prior to departure.
Dean of FISIP UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si., explained that KKL is a course designed to provide students with direct learning experiences through observation, field studies, and interaction with various institutions and stakeholders relevant to the fields of social and political sciences. Through this program, students are expected to connect the theories learned in the classroom with real-world practices in the field.
“KKL is more than just a visit or an academic trip. It is part of a learning process designed to broaden students’ perspectives, strengthen their analytical skills, and enhance their understanding of practices implemented within various organizations and institutions,” she said.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si., emphasized that KKL serves as an important platform for developing students’ competencies, enabling them to better prepare for the challenges of the professional world and the social dynamics within society. According to her, the experiences gained during the program will become valuable assets for students in developing critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
“Through KKL, students can directly observe how policies are formulated, how organizations operate, and how various social and governmental issues are addressed in practice. Experiences like these are essential in complementing the theoretical knowledge that students have acquired in the classroom,” she added.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Rita Rahmawati, Dra., M.Si., also reminded all participants to uphold the good name of their alma mater throughout the program. She expressed her hope that students would demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and ethical conduct in every activity they undertake.
“I hope all students will participate in KKL with a strong sense of responsibility, uphold academic ethics, and make the most of this opportunity to learn as much as possible. Be the best representatives of FISIP and Djuanda University wherever you are,” she concluded.
