Last Updated: 1 year ago

Communication Science students of the Faculty of Social, Political and Computer Sciences (FISIPKOM) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) Bogor held a Graphic Design seminar on Wednesday (25/01/23) in Building C UNIDA. With the theme "Be A Good Graphic Designer For Your Future Dream", this seminar presented two graphic design practitioners as speakers, namely Bagas Alivi and Alim Aulia. Ali Alamsyah, as a Communication Science Lecturer in his remarks, said that the holding of this event aims to make Unida Communication Science students able to organize ideas, steps and coordinate in every agreed plan. "One thing that is more important than this series of events is that ideas will continue to grow as long as we want and have a strong drive to achieve them," he said. On the same occasion, Event Division Coordinator Sheila Azhari said, the purpose and meaning of the theme carried so that all participants get the impact of the knowledge that has been presented by the speaker. "As well as a field to motivate in working as a better designer," she said. Bagas Alivi, who is a graphic designer content creator, said that various types of Graphic Design professions are needed in today's world of work. Of course, this requires expertise in operating design software to produce good work. "Self-taught learning through the Youtube application by watching tutorials on each use of design software can be an alternative to being able to understand and use design applications by producing good work," he explained. The second speaker, Alim Aulia, as Motorsport Branding and Professional Helmet Designer said, the things that need to be prepared in a designer include having patience, good communication, multiplying visual references of course to add ideas and creativity to a design, visiting design exhibitions as a reference and a place to see other people's work that can motivate yourself and kill your ego. "Receiving suggestions and criticism from other people about the work we make is legitimate and must be accepted or discussed how good it is, because it is other people who can judge the work we have made," he explained. The implementation of this event raises the hope of the Event Division Coordinator, Sheilla Azhary so that all participants and Communication Science students can be more confident in displaying every artwork they have made by holding a better exhibition.
