Students of the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and Computer Science (FISIPKOM), Djuanda University (Unida) made another achievement. On this occasion, a 6th Semester Communication Science Student on behalf of Siti Zulfa Fauziah won third place in the Opinion Competition at the Ultras Festival 3.0 Journalism Competition held by the Suara University of North Sumatra (USU) Student Press Institute (LPM). The Dean of FISIPKOM Unida, Ginung Pratidina, expressed his gratitude and happiness for the achievements made by his students. "Alhamdulillah, our students have achieved another achievement in the communication competition in the field of journalism on a national scale. I congratulate Siti Zulfa and thank you to all FISIPKOM lecturers who have guided so that they can print their students to make achievements," he said. Dean Ginung hopes that students from the Public Administration, Communication Science and Computer Science Study Programs can continue to be encouraged to be more enthusiastic about learning, have an impact on society and make achievements. For information, Ultras Festival 3.0, known as Ultras Fest, is the largest national journalistic event organized by LPM Suara USU. In the competition, there are four competitions consisting of News Anchor, Photography, Infographics and Opinion. This year, Ultras Fest 3.0 LPM USU carries the big theme "Reject Refressive Action on Student Voice". The winner, Siti Zulfa, expressed her gratitude for her achievement. In addition to the large number of participants from various universities in Indonesia, as a student from a private campus she felt insecure because she had to compete with participants who were dominantly from state universities. However, he managed to make an achievement among two other winners from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra as the first winner and a participant from the University of North Sumateri as the second winner. "Alhamdulillah, I am very happy and grateful to be the third winner in the Opinion Competition. In addition to the many participants and dominated by state campuses, I was not confident. But after getting this award, I became more enthusiastic about participating in competition events, especially in the field of journalism, "said Zulfa, Saturday, July 1, 2023. The woman who is familiarly called Zulfa added, in the competition she participated in, she made an opinion about the position of the Student Press which has minimal legal protection when voicing issues that occur around the campus environment and outside, which she then packaged with the title "Silenced to Intimidated, the Voice of the Student Press is Often Lost in Academic and Nonacademic Spaces". "This opinion was made based on the unrest of students who are members of the Student Press Organization (LPM). Incidentally, I myself am a Student Press (Persma) who often hears news about Persma friends on campus and on other campuses who often receive refressive actions when carrying out their journalism duties, such as being threatened with grades to be dropped out, and even beaten when going to the field to cover issues that occur, especially if covering demonstrations, "he explained.*** Source :https://bogor-today.com/2023/07/02/mahasiswa-fisipkom-unida/
